Good to know
Tucked into a quiet corner of Redwood City, this Dutch Colonial home carries the kind of character that takes decades to earn - original woodwork, a cozy sitting nook, and a layout that feels genuinely lived-in rather than staged. With four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and space for up to 8 guests, it works equally well for a family spreading out, a group of colleagues in town for the week, or a mix of both. Living space The living room is intentionally TV-free - a deliberate choice that tends to bring people together around the dining table, the kitchen island, or the backyard rather than a screen. The mid-century dining area connects naturally to the fully equipped kitchen, which comes stocked with everything you need to cook a proper meal: a stainless steel gas stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hot water kettle, toaster, wine glasses, and a full set of dishes and cookware. When the conversation spills outside, the outdoor dining area is right there waiting. Sleeping arrangements Upstairs, a queen suite comes with its own en suite bathroom. A second bedroom offers a full-size bed, a private balcony, and garden views. A third bedroom is set up with a twin trundle - a practical choice for families - and is served by a hallway bathroom. On the main floor, a studio with a sofa bed, TV, and private entrance rounds out the layout, giving that room a degree of independence from the rest of the house. Whether it's used as a guest room, a workspace, or both, it adapts well. Outdoor space The backyard is fully fenced and lined with bamboo, which gives it a sense of enclosure that most outdoor spaces in this area don't have. The private hot tub is the natural anchor of the space, but there's also a fire pit, outdoor furniture, and a dedicated outdoor dining area for evenings that don't need to end when the sun goes down. A garden view carries through from both inside and out. Kitchen & home essentials In-unit washer and dryer, iron, drying rack, and clothing storage mean you can pack lighter for longer stays. Air conditioning and central heating keep things comfortable year-round. For families traveling with young children, a crib and Pack 'n play are always on-site. When you need a break from the table tennis, there's a dedicated workspace in a room with a door - useful if someone needs a proper focus session. Parking & getting around Gated parking accommodates 1-2 cars on the premises, with free street parking available beyond that. The home sits close to Redwood City's dining and entertainment, and puts Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and the broader Silicon Valley corridor within easy reach - whether you're here for work or making the most of the Bay Area. Please note: This property does not allow pets.
