Good to know

Tucked away among towering redwoods in the quiet town of Camp Meeker, this retro-modern cabin offers a true forest escape where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature. Whether you’re savoring a glass of local wine on the deck, waking to the sound of birdsong drifting through the trees, or curling up with a good book in the cozy den, this home sets the scene for both relaxation and inspiration. Just minutes from Occidental, Sebastopol, and the Russian River, it’s perfectly placed for exploring Sonoma County’s natural beauty, wineries, and small-town charm. Outdoor living The cabin’s multiple decks invite you to spend time outdoors surrounded by the forest canopy. Sip your morning coffee as sunlight filters through the redwoods, or enjoy evening cocktails under a blanket of stars. Comfortable outdoor seating, a dining area, and a grill make it easy to share meals in the fresh air, while sun loungers provide a quiet spot for reading or simply soaking up the stillness of the woods. Spacious interior Inside, the open-plan main level blends retro style with modern comfort. The living room is thoughtfully furnished with mid-century modern pieces, perfect for gathering around the dining table for shared meals or board games. The fully equipped kitchen features vintage-inspired finishes alongside modern appliances - everything you need to prepare anything from a simple breakfast to a full dinner. A full bathroom on this floor adds convenience, and large windows keep the space bright while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding forest. Sleeping arrangements The cabin comfortably accommodates up to four guests. Downstairs, the primary bedroom offers a plush bed, forest views, and a private en-suite bathroom. A second bedroom is warm and inviting, while a third full bathroom ensures plenty of space for all guests. The lower level also includes a den - a second living area ideal for curling up with a book, enjoying quiet conversation, or opening the doors to step onto another deck and breathe in the fresh air. Thoughtful details Throughout the cabin, you’ll find books and reading material, stylish retro touches, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in. There is no TV - instead, the home is designed as a screen-free haven where guests can enjoy the surrounding forest, the sound of wildlife, and evenings under starry skies. Reliable WiFi and a dedicated workspace make it possible to balance work and relaxation, even in this peaceful, remote setting. Perfect for... This cabin is well-suited for couples seeking a romantic retreat, families looking to slow down together, or creatives in search of a quiet space to recharge. With pet-friendly policies and free on-site parking, it’s a practical yet inspiring base for exploring West Sonoma. From wine tasting and brewery tours to hiking, biking, or floating down the Russian River, adventure is always nearby - though many guests find they spend just as much time savoring the cabin itself. Important notes The home spans multiple levels and includes stairs, which may not be suitable for all guests. Cell service can be spotty due to the location, but WiFi is strong throughout the cabin. With its rare combination of privacy, comfort, and access to Northern California’s most scenic landscapes, this forest retreat offers a stay that feels both refreshing and restorative.

Other Details to Note

TV Info: Heads up... There's NO TV here—just birdsong, tree views, and plenty of peace and quiet. Think of it as a screen-free escape (unless you count the stars). Stairs: The cabin has multiple levels, including stairs to the lower floor and decks. It may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns. WiFi & Cell Service: While we have high-speed WiFi, cell service may be spotty in some areas due to the remote location. Wildlife: You’re in nature! Expect to see (or hear) deer, birds, and other wildlife. Please do not leave food outside. Pet-Friendly: 2 Well-behaved dogs are welcome! 🐾 We would like to ensure that all guests are safe so if you bring your dog, please be respectful and do not allow them on the furniture, pick up their waste from the yard/decks and anywhere in Sonoma county, do not leave them alone in the house without supervision. Due to allergies we do not allow cats or any other animal in the house, thank you for understanding. A small pet fee may apply. Families with Kids: We truly enjoy hosting families, but please be aware that our home isn’t a good fit for young children under 12, including infants and toddlers. There are several high decks, lots of stairs, and the space hasn’t been child-proofed. Things like glass doors, sharp corners on furniture, small decorative items within reach, and a glass-walled shower (no bathtub) could pose safety concerns. The decks can also get slippery in wet weather. For peace of mind, we recommend our home for adults and older kids who can safely navigate the space. Seasons & Weather: The cabin is cozy year-round! In winter, snow chains or AWD/4WD may be required due to mountain roads. We want you to have an amazing stay—let us know if you have any questions! 🚗 Camp Meeker roads are narrow and may require careful maneuvering, especially if another car is approaching. Please drive slowly and carefully. 🎵 Amplified music is prohibited outdoors at all times. Sonoma County quiet hours are strictly enforced between 9pm-7am. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Most of all, enjoy Camp Meeker!

Find us

The streets are narrow, we recommend having your GPS marked and ON before getting off the freeway, to ensure you can connect to the address. Once you're in Camp Meeker there is very little cell service. If you are on a road in Camp Meeker and another car is coming the same way, one of you may have to back into a driveway to let the other go by.
