Neighborhood
Strolling Haight Ashbury & Cole Valley’s tree-lined streets often lead to a postcard-worthy afternoon. It's easy to spend a day admiring this idyllic neighborhood’s Victorian architecture and snacking at its cozy cafes and charming restaurants. Locals walk around with their kids, there are lots of cute dogs, and our local cops are friendly and chatty. Our little block hosts many wonderful restaurants, bars, coffee shops and boutiques. There’s a dry cleaners, an old-fashioned hardware store, a grocery store, a mail/FedEx/UPS center, and an urgent care center. It’s like a small town in the middle of a big city! Restaurants: Padrecito - Very unique and delicious Mexican food. Zazie - Delicious French-inspired dinners and an awesome weekend brunch. Bambino’s - Italian. The pizza is to die for. Crepes On Cole - Every kind of crepe you can dream up. Kezar Bar and Restaurant - Nice cozy hangout with good food. Finnegan’s Wake - A good watering hole filled with locals. The Ice Cream Bar - best home-made ice cream in SF Coffee shops: Peet’s - nice dark brews La Boulangerie - Amazing coffee, pastries and lunch. The Wooden Coffee Shop - Great coffee, cozy ambience. Reverie Cafe - The garden seating in back is lovely. Other Luke’s Local - A very fresh and lively grocery store. Say Cheese - If you love all things cheese… Walgreens - Just two blocks away!
Guest Access
You will have full access to my apartment (condo) and back porch (the backyard is full access to neighbors upstairs, not for guests, I'm sorry)

The SF bus system (MUNI) is very efficient and the most economical way to get around: $3 for a bus ride, with a 2-hr transfer. Maps smartphone app (free) which provides MUNI system directions. By Car - Uber and Lyft are recommended. They both guarantee pick up within 10 minutes of calling. You can also get to and from the airport using these services and it’s less expensive than a regular taxi. Downtown is a 15-20 minute bus ride from my place or a 10-15 minute car ride. SFO is a 30-40 minute bus ride from my place or a 20-30 minute car ride. Most of San Francisco tourist sites are about the same - a 30-40 minute bus ride from my place or a 20-30 minute car ride.
