This top-floor, 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment occupies the entire second floor of one of Bernal Heights’ oldest Victorian homes. Known for its architecture and creative spirit, the home blends original character with thoughtful comforts. Diamond-pitched ceilings, original artwork, and a mix of Mid-Century Modern, antique, and vintage furnishings reflect its artistic roots. A private entrance allows you to come and go with ease. Sleeping arrangements Two comfortable bedrooms are arranged for restful stays. One features a Queen bed and a walk-in closet, while the second offers a Full bed with nearby storage. Bed linens, extra pillows, and blankets are provided to keep you comfortable during cooler San Francisco nights. The bathroom includes a bathtub and bathroom essentials. Kitchen & dining The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals at home, with a dining table that works equally well for shared dinners or quiet mornings with coffee. Wifi is available throughout the apartment, and a dedicated workspace is set in a common space for remote work sessions. Outdoor spaces Step outside to a private patio or balcony for fresh air and city views, or enjoy the fully fenced backyard and garden areas on the property. Outdoor furniture offers a peaceful place to pause and take in the surroundings. Entertainment & comfort Inside, you’ll find an HDTV with Roku, a BOSE Bluetooth sound system, books, and a yoga mat. Portable fans and central heating help keep the space comfortable year-round. Self check-in with a lockbox and free street parking add convenience to your stay. Welcome to Our Home Please remember, you’re staying in a home, not a hotel. We ask that you treat our space with respect and care. Co-host Support Our wonderful co-hosts from Home Sweet Host Property Management are available to assist with anything you need during your stay. Location Our home is situated up a steep hill, with at least two hills to reach Mission Street. Access You’ll have a lockbox on the front iron gate and a private entrance to the apartment, ensuring independence and privacy. Lost keys incur a $50 replacement fee. House Rules -No parties or events -No smoking anywhere on the property, including the roof deck -No pets (we prefer no service animals due to allergies) -No packages to be mailed to the house -Please keep noise levels down after 9:00 pm (the apartment is above a house in a residential area) Important Details Please note that there are at least 12 shallow steps leading up to the apartment. While they’re easy to navigate, we ask that you take care when using them. Parking: 2-hour limit between 8 am–6 pm, free from 6 pm–8 am. You’ll need to move your car every two hours during the day (common in San Francisco) Children & Pets We love children and pets but prefer no children under 12 due to a sliding glass door that doesn’t lock and our allergies to pets. Cleaning Standards We follow cleaning guidelines approved by the WHO, CDC, and EPA. No Packages Please do not send packages to the house. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

House Rules

・This home is in a residential neighborhood and the owners live on the first floor of the home. So we ask that all guests keep noise levels down in the evenings. ・No parties or events of any kind are allowed here ・Out of respect for our Neighbors: Quiet Hours are between 9pm - 8am ・No shoes inside (flip flops, slippers, socks are fine) ・No smoking of any kind is permitted anywhere on the premises (go to the front curb outside or at least 15 feet from any dwelling) ・The property shall not be used by more than the number of adults listed in your reservation. ・No pets allowed (if you have a service animal, we would like to know as we have pet allergies) ・No Children under 12 years of age please, we have safety issues. ・Conserve water, California is currently in a drought ・Recycle & Compost if there are receptacles in the kitchen ・Turn off lights, TV, heater, & stove when not in use ・Please consume or take all leftover food and do not leave extras out of the fridge. Extra food beckons little critters and bugs! ・No commercial photography or filming is permitted on the property. ・Please only deposit toilet paper in the toilets please, we have small pipes (no baby/adult wipes, floss, tampons, etc...should be flushed down the toilet) ・Renter is liable for any damage to the property and agrees to accept charges to the card on file should damage occur during occupancy. ・A late check-out fee will be applied for check-outs as this will affect our cleaning team and following guests. ・On check-out, return one set of keys to the lockbox. You can feel as though you’re separated from the craziness of the city when you get home, yet are so close if you desire a night on the town.” There are so many restaurants (too many to count), coffee shops, and cool places to go within walking distance of the house. It’s also within waling distance of our major public transportation (BART & MUNI) and near one of the most amazing spots in the entire city-Bernal Hill. We LOVE our neighborhood. And know you will too. And we are near the dynamic and Historic Mission district and the very hip and happening Valencia Corridor.

This was truly a rare gem of a find. Beautiful place, incredible view of the city and the Bay Bridge in the distance. Very easy check in and check out. Host was always communicative and super friendly. We will definitely return!

I was delighted by this home and extended my stay to give myself more time to enjoy it. I’ve stayed in nearly eighty vacation rentals over the past fifteen years, and this is among the very best. I adore this house and we had such a wonderful stay! The views are incredible, the apartment is comfortable and well appointed, and the history of the house/neighborhood is fascinating (I definitely read the book about the history of the Bernal Heights neighborhood that the hosts keep in the apartment). I’d highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an authentic San Francisco stay!

Great house in a great quite neighbourhood. Loved the balcony with a beautiful view of San Francisco city while you sip your morning tea/coffee. Very well decorated victorian era house with lots of history and also a library!

Find us

This is a pretty hilly part of town, check online maps for Coso & Prospect streets. If not renting a car, or using Uber/Lyft, you will get your exercise in this neighborhood. Public transportation is the way to go in San Francisco. There are bus lines and train lines within walking distance of the home. If you have a car, the main expressways are also easily accessible. And of course, Uber and Lyft drivers are happy to pick you up!
