A home steeped in character Two bedrooms and three beds sleep up to four guests across 1.5 baths, all wrapped in warm wood interiors and an open-beam ceiling that speaks to the cabin's age. Outdoor living The spacious deck is where this property earns its reputation. Outdoor dining and lounge seating sit beneath the trees, and free off-street parking for up to three vehicles is included on the premises. Privacy fencing gives the property a sense of seclusion without removing you from the forest surroundings. The washer and dryer are accessible on the back deck, keeping laundry practical and out of the way. What to expect nearby Occidental sits at the center of the Sonoma County wine country and redwood belt. Charming villages, farm-to-table dining, and the Sonoma Coast beaches are all a short drive away - making this as good a base for exploring as it is for doing absolutely nothing. A few things to know before you book This is a vintage cabin, and a few of its quirks are part of the charm - including cozy room sizes and an older stove that rewards a little patience. There is no air conditioning, but the shaded forest canopy keeps the space naturally cool through most of the year, and fans are provided for warmer days. WiFi is available but may vary in speed - comfortable for streaming and email, though not optimal for multiple simultaneous video calls. Given the forest setting, the occasional critter and pine needle are part of the experience; regular pest control is maintained for guest comfort. Please note that the hot tub is not available until July. Pets are welcome here.
Other Details to Note
This is a vintage cabin built in 1906, so you may notice a few quirks here and there—slightly uneven floors, cozy room sizes, and a charming (but old) stove that takes a little patience. We think it adds to the magic, but want you to be comfy and informed! There is no air conditioning. The cabin stays relatively cool thanks to the forest setting and shaded deck, but we provide fans for warmer days. We’re in the forest! Expect the occasional critter or pine needle—nature is part of the charm. We have regular pest control and do our best to keep everything tidy. WiFi is available, but due to the remote setting, speeds can vary. Great for streaming and email—maybe not ideal for multiple Zoom meetings. We love this little place and hope you will too. If you ever have questions before booking, feel free to reach out! Pets: We allow 1 dog under 60lbs or 2 under 40lbs but we would like to ensure that all guests are safe so if you bring your dog, please be respectful and do not allow them on the furniture, pick up their waste from the yard, do not leave them alone in the house without supervision. Due to our dog visiting the home and one of us having allergies, we do not allow cats or any other animal in the house, thank you for understanding. PLEASE NOTE: Host truck is parked inside the fence 🚗 Camp Meeker roads are narrow and may require careful maneuvering, especially if another car is approaching. Please drive slowly and carefully. 🎵 Amplified music is prohibited outdoors at all times. Sonoma County quiet hours are strictly enforced between 9pm-7am. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Fires are not allowed April to the end of October due to both the heightened risk of wildfires & spare the air days. If you need heat indoors please use the heater. During the winter (November to the end of March), we’re happy to provide firewood and kindling for your stay. We kindly ask that it be enjoyed thoughtfully so all guests can continue to enjoy it.
